Risk Assessment

The management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations include a requirement to assess the risks in your workplace if you employ 5 or more people. This course will provide a thorough understanding of assessment techniques and is designed for anyone with a responsibility to conduct or could be involved in risk assessment.

Risk assessment is the “backbone” of any safety management system and a thoroughly implemented programme of risk assessment will lead to a much safer working environment.

Course Content.

• Legal requirements.
• Identifying common hazards and risks.
• Estimating and evaluating risk.
• Risk assessment templates and the information to be recorded.
• Issue and review of assessments

This is a one-day theoretical course but can be extended to 2 days to include a day of practical, real activity or process risk assessment if required.
