First Aid at Work
Course duration. 3 days
The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate first-aid equipment, facilities and people so your employees can be given immediate help if they are injured or taken ill at work.
To decide what is ‘adequate and appropriate’ an employer should carry out a First Aid “needs assessment”. This involves assessing the risks associated with the type of work that you do and deciding what level of First Aid cover you need.
